E
~Every doll Ellie has is named 'Ellie' "Yook at all my Ellie dollies!" (As she cups her hand and spreads it widely in front of her to demonstrated the expanse of the Ellie dolls)
~She does a similar hand thing when she wants to make a point in other things. She'll put all her fingers together and stick her hand out, with her elbow bent (her hand is about eye-level) and tell you something very important. It's darling, I wish I were better with words to describe the cuteness
~Spaghetti is still Detti, it's cute
~I told Ellie 'you look like a princess' and she says 'YES! an mom, you're beautiful' Awwww
~She interacts with the TV (like Mickey). Love it
K
~Starting to talk more. Still mostly just sounds and inflections instead of words.
~MY (mine)
~AIN (on)
~BEE-OH (pillow)
~DUN (down)
~MAH (come on) usually said while he's walking away with his arm behind him and his hand opening and closing
~Br-AHHH-OW (brown)
~BWAH' (black)
~BUBBOH (purple)
~DOHDOH (yellow)
~doh doh DOH (go dog go)
~WAHHHwEEE (Wall-E)
~BUH (Buzz)
~BAH-AA' (back pack)
~He says somehting for thank you and excuse me, but I haven't been able to put letters to them yet. And for 'yes' he laughs.
~SHHHHH [as he taps on nose] (shh)
~MEH-OH (come here)
~MY-NEE (mine)
~th-eump (jump) usually accompanied with an attempt to jump. He's got the leg movement and the spring, just doesn't leave the ground.
~Blows kisses by blowing slobbery into his hand covering his face.
~He calls ice cubes fishies (SHISH-Y)
~And whenever he needs to think about something he says hmmmm. Where's your shoe? hmmmm Why did you have to sit in time out? hmmmm What do you want for dinner? hmmmm etc
I love these kiddos. We've been struggling lately with each other. I've had migraines, they've been fighting. I've been exhausted and they are pushing their boundaries again. It's not been super fun, and there is a lot of frustration (from both parties). But I'm working on being more patient, despite the migraines. I need to be better about getting to bed earlier so I can get up earlier. And hopefully they are working on not whining all the time, and listening better, and not fighting, etc. It's also summer. I think this is a part of summer...cooped up together for so long, the heat draining all pleasantness from us. As soon as fall hits, we'll be great.
Despite everything, these kids are my life, and I love them.
Just a little poem I wrote while feeling sloppy and gross.
My shirt is smeared with peanut butter
My hair? It looks a fright
Some say I may be crazy,
and actually, I might
My teeth, A pinch too fuzzy
Sleep? A pleasure sin
You wonder why I do it
Well here, I'll clue you in
Laughs that light up cities
belted without restraint
Hugs that warm the soul
Revived magic in fingerpaint
Snuggles that smell of vanilla,
Kisses that leave their mark
Chubby little hands, needing
protection in the dark
So yes, I may be tired
Who'm I kidding, I'm wiped out!
But being 'Mommy' is amazing
Best thing ever, no doubt
