I can't believe it. My little three pound bitty beauty is 3. Where did the time go? We debated whether or not to do a party, but decided on a family thing. There will be so many years when all she wants is friend parties, we thought we'd take advantage of this time and just do family. For weeks...or rather months, all Ellie would talk about was pink cupcakes for her birthday. I loved this idea...you don't have to know how to decorate cakes for cupcakes, they are cute by themselves...add everything pink...princess wrappers, pink frosting, pink sprinkles, pink food coloring to cake, and tah dah...pink 'tuptakes'.
For the activity we made a gingerbread house. Our first one. It was really fun. Ellie just wanted to eat the Smarties and Kayden just wanted to eat the gingerbread from the other house that got smooshed. Then presents! Ellie got some nail polish, Uno Moo, Strawberry Shortcake movie, and a baby bed. My favorite thing about the baby bed is that I think Ellie thought it was her new bed. She tried and tried and tried to fit in it and make it work...she was really relieved when we told her that she slept in her big bed, the little bed was for her dollies. :)
To my princess: I love you so much. You bring light and laughter into my life each day. You are so caring and try so hard to be a good girl. I love that you love to play with Kayden. I love that you love to do your schoolwork. I love that you love girlie things. I love your tight hugs and perfect kisses. I love when you say 'I yub you mama.' I love your perfect nose and that it gives the best eskimo kisses. I love you sweetie. Thank you for being my baby girl! Kisses! Mommy.
