I have recently come to learn that my kids LOVE to paint. They love it. And though Kayden gets more paint in the surrounding area of his object than on his object, and Ellie's things always turn out all one yucky color from all the mixing, I love to watch them experiment with techniques and colors. They are learning patience, persistance, and experimenting. And I'm all about one project that teaches so many different things.
